Crazy! Unreal!

Hey there everyone,
As my title suggests, there have been lots of Crazy! Unreal! things happening.
Fristly, I got my HSC marks back and I did better than all my school marks... so that was Unreal!
Secondly, I got my UAI and it wasn't as high as I would of hoped... so that was Crazy!
Thirdly, I changed my uni preferences and I think I wont be changing them again any time soon because I'm pretty ok with these preferences... so that was Unreal!
Fourthly, I got a shift at work today and for the rest of the week. My manager is a lazy bum like me and didn't put me on until this morning when he rung me up and told me to come to work... so that was Crazy! Unreal!
Fifthly, Now that I'm working all week I might not have time to buy my parents christmas presents! ARGH! But at least I know exactly what I'm going to get them. Just hope I can get to the store... so that is Crazy!
Sixthly, I not sure on how to spell sixthly or the rest properly so I think I will stop now. Unreal!

I went as toothpaste... I came back as a tomato

Hey there all!
I'm back from Fingal Bay! It was so beautiful and so much fun! It was nice to sleep in everyday and have nice food when we wanted and have no parents around! We went to the beach 3 times. The water was very cold at first but got nicer. I got whipped heaps by blowing sands. On the Wednesday, we had lots of fun at the beach. It was the nicest day and the tide was really nice and the water was really clear. I think that we were all so excited that we forgot to re-apply our sunscreen and me and Bec got really burnt! I'm red at the moment. It's quite uncomfortable sleeping with sunburn. Other highlights were playing lots of uno and 500 as well as learning to play backgammon which isn't that bad! We cooked really good food. My favourites were nachos, 'yellow beef' and frozen oranges. Bec also taught us how to squish oranges and then cut off the tops and drink the juice with a straw. Don't worry guys I have heaps of pics that I can show you.
I'll be off again on monday... :( Only 2 nights back in my own bed.

Don't cry for me...

Yo...
Just letting you know that I wont be blogging here for over a week (how sad for you all). I'm going away for the week but never fear! I'll be taking my notebook (and diary) so that I can fill you all in when I get back.
Until then...

Fun and Games

Howdy Hi-Ho.
I went to Jen's house yesterday... after going to Hornsby where I got new swimmers for holidays, new jeans cuz old ones had a hole and other amenmities. I am going to miss my old jeans. They were so soft and comfy. But I think I sat somewhere bad cuz not the bum pocket has come off. I'm going to cry!
I went and saw Jen today as well. So did lots of other people (ie my friends). We had a lovely time tickling everyone and playing with the dogs and eating junk food and watching movies (I am Sam and Finding Nemo). I am Sam is a good movie. Sean Penn acted well in it. But whenever I see that girl I think of a scary albino. She looks stuck up.
I was playing literati with Jen and Alistair tonight. I wonder where it got it's name from (the game that is). Some board games have such weird names. Like Mancala... what does that mean? Does it have something to do with a man who turned into a... something? And scabble is a weird name. It makes you think of scrambling up something but you don't really... it's more of a sorting out the letters game. Like don't you think that sorletter would be a better name? Maybe I should make up a game! Oh wait I already have! (with my church friends that is)
Let me introduce you to CYR! (pronounced sigh-ah, short for cover your royalties). It's a card game... basically, what you do is when you see certain cards (King, Queen, Jack, Ace) you have to cover your appropriate 'royalty.' We should play it one day.

The Weekend

Hey there all.
I haven't written in a while because blogger was being mean to me. Don't you just hate that!
Well on saturday I went to a kitchen tea. They are such fun things... I feel sorry for boys cuz they miss out on them... but then I'm sure they aren't that interested in opening lots of presents and playing games which involve kitchen utensils. One thing we had to do was make up advice for the girl getting married... my favourite piece of advice was:
"In the kitchen, you can't go wrong with Canton."
Thats something for all of us to remember. kekeke.
I also had my orchestra concert on Sunday. That was fun. The wind ensemble played the theme from Austin Powers. Our school band should play that. It sounds really good on the brass. Auditions for the orchestras is on 1st Dec for strings and 8th for woodwinds and brass. So if you are interested ask me about it. It's a kick orchestra (western youth orchestra).
I worked today. It's getting hotter and hotter. But I think I finally have the hang of it. But I'm not quite sure about the family feasts and 21 piece bucket (it's hard cuz you have to count and pick special pieces at the same time).
Tomorrow it's supposed to be 42°C. I hope I'm not working... I don't think I am. I want to go to the shops to buy last minute schoolies stuff... like swimmers and face wash. OOOO it's exciting! Can't wait!

Ulcers, salt, beauty, pain and cumquats

WOW! Over 300 people have visited this blog. Thanks for all coming and posting comments.
Did my audition today. He said it was good enough. So that's good. Just have to wait on my UAI now.
What else interesting has been happening? OOOO I know now...
Has anyone every put salt on an ulcer before? I just got an ulcer from not drinking enough water so I put some salt on it cuz ulcers heal quicker when you put salt on them. EXCRUCIATING PAIN! But it was ok because after about 10 seconds your mouth goes into shock and you can't feel the pain anymore. Beauty is pain (even though the inside of your mouth is never really that pretty... like the underside of your tongue looks really gross).
Well I think I've blabbed on for a bit now. As soon as anything good happens I'll let you know.

ooo I just thought of something interesting! Casey won idol! That was cool-ish. Poor Anthony looked devastated... but we didn't need another boy band singer so it was cool. But do you think that Casey is going to be that popular???

Happy Happy Blow Hole

Went to kiama on sunday and monday... gee that was fun... NOT. The highlight of the trip was getting 5 more hours of driving done. I only need 7 more hours till I can go for my P's. yippee!!! Getting back to the holiday... who goes on a holiday to sleep on the couch? Me apparently. And who goes on holiday with 6 people 20-40 years older than you?
Yes well... what else do you wanna hear?
Got my audition on thursday... what song should I sing? I was just going to sing a carol but that would seem corny.
Bored...

Stuff that happened today... ooo the Apprentice

I'm busy busy now.
Worked today. That was ok. Getting to know the people now. One problem is that I don't really eat at KFC so I'm trying to remember how many pieces of chicken to put in what box and what type of chicken to use. It's quite confusing.
Then when I got home I was stinking hot and had a headache cuz it was hot. Then mum got all pissy at me because I hadn't organised the music for my accompanist (I got an accompanist!). So I quickly called my contacts and got the music. So mum just kept quiet after that.
Then I taught violin and it was so damn hot! So we had to move to under the fan. Once that was over I watched Kath and Kim... very funny (as usual) and now I'm watching the apprentice.
So I'm a lil preoccupied at the moment. Cya!

Aims and (opposite of aims)

Today I had my first shift in KFC. It was different... in that I have never scooped potato and gravy and I've never put corn in plastic bags. I have used one of those squirty water things before though (no it wasn't just a hose... it's like high pressure). I smell/taste potato and gravy now.
I got home and started to download the episodes of The OC that I missed... which reminds me... it's on in 30 mins! So I have to type quickly.
I tutored reading today. My girl was reading this book to me and it was like a poem... I had no idea what they were going on about. So after she read it I asked her if she had any problems with it. She said she didn't so I was like "Ok, onto the next one." Kekeke. I'm such a good teacher. Which leads to...
I got past the questionaire and I'm going to do my audition for UNSW on 25th Nov. I should really ring my teacher and ask him what I should play and who should accompany me. I'm so unorganised at the moment! :: runs around aimlessly, then decided to run around aim-ly but doesn't have aims ::
Sadness... It's going to take me 2 days to download The OC. Grrr to it not being on dvd in Australia... I could always buy it on ebay... But can't be bothered yet.
Well I'm off to prepare the tape for taping The OC. Talk to you on msn later!

Bumming and GAHing

Haven't written here in a while. Here's what has been going on:
Silvia's party - it was kinda weird going to a 17th birthday party when everyone has been turning 18. It was fun though. We danced alot. Silvy has a very comfortable desk chair. And her room is pink! Jen would be jealous. The food was very nice as well. Some amusing things were the music that some of the guys listened to which sounded like the landing on the moon. Also funny was everyone bagging out Maddie about falling into Deborah's pool drunk. We also played chinese whispers for about an hour. Lots of comments about Alistair and Bob. Also amusing was Alistair, Bob and Sanura pushing the air up (you get me?).
I got home at 12.35 so that was ok-ish. Fell asleep straight away.... geez that was a long day (violin lesson at 8am, tutoring at 9.30, picnic from 11-5 and then Silvy's party.) Oh well... I'M ALIVE!
Who watched Singapore idol? That's right... Singapore idol (on the net). I watched at my friends house. It was the one where there were 4 people were left. Guess what the theme was... chinese pop! Yes it was funny... one of the judges names is dick lee.
Today I bummed at home. Sent off my questionaire for BmusBEd at UNSW. I got a big feeling that I'm not going to get in since my audition is not this thursday but next thursday. So I have to practice heaps and heaps. GAH!

Blah blah stuff

There is a big chance that I wont be writing here that much now. Yesterday I went out with Hazel and I bought this really cool diary. It was only 15 bucks! And it was like my dream diary: Hard cover with padding, handmade, bamboo paper. Oooo it's so exciting. I have to finish my other diary now so I can write in my new one.
I signed out of school today. Kinda weird.... still don't know what to do now hahahaha. Hmmm how do I explain the feeling.... it was..... weird. Lol! (I just repeated myself... opps!)
I had KFC orientation today. It was very boring... and the pants are so high! argh! Meh I don't wanna write. Tomorrow I have a bbq with the family and then going to silvia's 17th. It's weird going to a 17th when everyone is having 18ths. Geez lil silvy is so young.
From Car-O-Line
p.s: we aren't going to have a proper bbq... its more like a picnic with asian food.... so much asian food!

Please! No more food!

I went out today with my aunty and uncle who have come over for a visit from Malaysia. Asian relatives are so funny. In the true Malaysian spirit, we went out to a restaurant for lunch (Very Nice Chinese Restaurant.... yes that was it's name!). It was quite nice. We ate a lot of course and I was very full. On the way home I was stuck between my mum, my aunty, my cousin and my uncle. They were very loud... I wished I had ear-plugs (did you know that people from Hornsby Girls wear ear-plugs during their tests???). Then I got the lecture:
Aunty: "You are going to start uni now, start looking for a boyfriend. Make sure he is clean. Make sure he can cook and do the laundry. Start eating asian food otherwise you will never find a nice asain boy. You should also try and learn cantonese and mandarine...." etc etc etc.
Yes it was funny... My mum is like "he should be christian too"
My aunty was like "oh yeah that too."
Then we ate again at a restaurant for dinner. So once again I'm really full! And very proud of myself that I ate almost everything at the restaurant except for the scallops and red bean soup. I even tasted crab! It wasn't that bad.

Fun at the Barker residence

Woke up at 12 today, had breaky and then had lunch at 4 and then had dinner at 7. So I'm quite full now.
I went through my wardrobe today and found all this really cool material so I made some new boxes for summer (nice pink and white) and then looked at all my other material and discussed all the different things I can make. Making stuff is fun.
I also got out my cross stitch which I think I will start doing again too. I started it in February 2001... so as you can see I always start things and don't finish them (unless it's sewing... sewing is good).
We had a guest for dinner. She is chinese and has really bad english so she doesn't talk much. So she just basically came, ate and left. I was pondering going to bowling late but I don't think my parents would let me. Another reason why I should get my P's. So I watched Aussie Idol and Queer Eye. Watching tv is fun.
So it's all fun and games at the Barker residence... I should organise a party. With a theme. I tried to get Silvia to have a party with a theme but she didn't want to. Parties with themes are fun (especially if people dress up properly to the theme). I've already got a costume to wear for the theme I want to do. It's exciting!
Everyone is going out... at night. Why don't they go out during the day? We all just bum around at home during the day so we should make use of the time! Plus there is good tv on at night so why would you wanna go out so late? Grr... I'm getting a job so I need to go out like now! During the day! I should call people.

Talking about...

Went to the beach today. It was much nicer than last week. Very very sunny and a lil warmer water. Also more people went so it was more fun (the more the merrier).
Still on the water theme... I have sunk low (and let me tell you it's very cold in the deep end). I got a job at KFC. How unusual is that?! I didn't think I ever would but I think my mum was getting desperate to get me out of the house during the day so she asked her friend (who is a manager at KFC) to get me a job. So I have one now. So now everyone has to go shopping with me.
Talking about going out... I'm pissed off!!! I can't go bowling tomorrow *tear* cuz we are having people over to dinner. How boring for me and how fun for my friends. I need my P's! I need to get out of the house and drive places! But I need a cd player in the ute.
Talking about cds, I just got Jet - Get Born. It's a really awesome cd. They have good music. All the songs on the cd are good. Better than the music at Alistair's party.
Talking about Alistairs party, I heard that a lot of the guys got seriously pissed (Adam throwing up!). Silly guys, except for Bob, who was smart enough to stay sober and video drunk people! I wanna see! (btw Alistair didn't get drunk either... but you all knew he wouldn't)
Talking about things I wanna see, who wants to go to the movies to see The Notebook, Bridget Jones Diary 2, Anchorman, Dodgeball, or anything else that's on that's supposed to be good. Take me out!
Talking about going out... I'm out of here!

events...

Last night I went to Alistair's surprise party at Bob's house. It was pretty good. Soccer was fun... just wished that I wore jeans and proper shoes! hahaha.... I have this phobia of splitting my toenails kicking a soccer ball. Luckily that didn't happen!
So what else happened? Well there were like 40 packets of chips to start off with (large packets of chips) and I was like... "we are just eating chips?" So I ate quite a lot of chips. I also got major sugar boost from the soft drinks which is why I played soccer in thongs. Then later on in the night.... 20 pizzas arrived... I was like "I'm stuffed already!" But there was still a lil room. Kekeke.
Highlights was seeing Sarah do air guitar to bad music and Silvia miming the bad music (visual image stuck in my head... SO FUNNY!!!). I also enjoyed stealing the camera off Bob and videoing people... Seeing Gordon drunk and dancing.... kinda scary actually.
I had to leave early tho... violin lesson... so I missed out on other eventful things... but Bob spilled, so it's all good.

The Beach Kicks!

(Hey Jen... The beach kicks... get it??? hahahahaha)
Hello everyone
I've decided that I'm turning into a beachie. People from my church to to the beach every sunday and I also went to the beach today.
I went to sculptures by the sea. An arty-farty thing that has been going on since 1997. It is very nice. The sculptures are cool and interesting and pretty. I really liked the elephant, the thong bottle and the postcard from Tamarama. If you are wondering what on earth I'm going on about... Go to Tamarama and Bondi Beach! It's worth it. And don't forget your sunscreen. The sun is very powerful!
Hopefully next time when you see me I will have a nice even tan.
I think that a nice walk was just what I needed to get back into the free from HSC/celebrating feeling. Just looking at all those nice houses along the beach and the pretty waters, now I can't wait till Schoolies!
In an attempt to not lose my mind and go completely crazy I have started to read a book called "Made in America" written by Bill Bryson and basically it's all about how the Americans got their language and their accents and why they have weird spellings (their leaders couldn't spell so they just stuck with those spellings). So now I don't feel so stupid (Only in America).

from Car-O-Line

What's up (besides the sky)

Ok sorri guys but now I'm going to start rubbing it in.
At first, finishing the HSC before everyone was pretty boring... I was forced to walk to Beecroft and Pennant Hills to apply for jobs. And I got one! Well.... not a real one but it's some extra pocket money. I have to tutor this 6 year old on her reading. And she is very cute so it's fun!
I've also been spending a lot of time playing airline tycoon. If you don't know what it is... they type it in google and find out you lazy ppl! And if you are too lazy... I'll tell you now... kekekeke! It's basically a game like the Sims where you have to run an airline company and order flights and buy planes and sabotage competitors planes. It might seem lame... thats cuz it is... but it's one of those addictive games... and now that I've found out all these cheats... I'm making lots of money and so now it's even more fun cuz I'm winning and I'm not in 2 million dollars debt.
Well that was the past two days... now today... the fun stuff!!!
I went to church and then to the beach with church friends! It was heaps cool! Nice and sunny and the water was freezing... but then my body seemed to go numb and it all turned out good. I feel very clean now after swimming in salt water.
Well there you go... Have I rubbed the salt into the wounds enough?
I'll talk to you laters
from Car-O-Line
p.s: beach bathrooms are gross~

What's up (besides the sky)

Sorri but I'm going to start rubbing it in now. At first... finishing the HSC before all you guys was boring but now it's fun! I'll tell you all about it:
On Friday... I was forced out of the house, walked to Beecroft, then Pennant Hills, on the lookout for a job. And I got one! kinda.... I have to help this 6 year old girl with her reading. So thats just a bit of extra pocket money. But she is really cute and I get to read cute books so it's fun.
I've also been able to catch up on my computer games.... game.... Airline Tycoon Evolution. If you don't know what it is... look it up on google you lazy people! But I'm nice so I'm going to tell you about it. Basically you have to run an airline company and order flights and buy planes and sabotage your competitors planes! kekeke. It probably sounds lame but it's one of those games like the Sims which is really stupid but so addictive! So I've been playing it all day. In Airline tycoon it's really easy to get into big financial debt (like $5,000,000 debt) so I was getting pissed and then found all these cheats so I can get money! So I'm winning! And it's much more fun when you win. :)
Then on Saturday I had violin lesson at 8am..... so early! And then I made trifle for this guy's 21st birthday. He's not even my friend... He's my cousin's friend... and they aren't even good friends. We assumed that he invited us cuz he doesn't have any friends but there were quite a few people there (his church friends... so it doesn't really count). My cousin was saying.... "wow... there are so many people here... I didn't think he had any friends" which is quite mean but oh well... the food was nice.
And then today... stupid daylight savings meant I had to lose an hours sleep... boo hoo!!! But after church... I went to the beach with my church friends which was really cool (in both ways). When we got into the water it was freezing but after a couple of minutes our bodies went numb so it all turned out good.
So finishing the HSC early wasn't that bad after all! :)

The Afterlife

This morining I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and trains passing by my house. I looked at my clock: 9:45am. I smiled, because I knew... that I would never have to wake up at 6:30am again to cram for the HSC. Yes... it's over!!! (for me at least). But I don't want to rub it in anymore... all I wanna say now is: press on towards the goal (that is finishing the HSC) because before you know it... it will be over and then you will be sitting at home, typing blogs and saying "what do I do now?" "damn, I should really get a job."
Hmmm.... now what do I do? I guess I should start looking for a job.

My life so far

my life so far? what life? I've done 5 hsc exams in 1 week!!! argh the pace is so fast! but it also means that it is also over.
I only have to do my two maths exams now and this morning... i was feeling quite excited about studying for maths... but once i started... i realised my foolishness and the fact that maths is hard and boring. And after spending about 3 hours on a test... i find out i dont have the answers so i can't see what i'm bad or good at.
so easy... you are probably saying... just get the answers off the net:
o_o'
I hate the windows update! it's totally screwed my computer! It took me a while to get the net up and running but it's not wanting to go to the sites i want it to go to... it's happy with going to google and hotmail... but grrr.... i need to get to the Board of studies site!!!!
My very good friend kindly offered to go to the site to get answers for me... and to my dissappointment... they dont have the answers... THEY DONT HAVE THE ANSWERS!!!
so it seemed to me that i had wasted so much time... so why not take a big break... and that is why i'm typing here.
I hope you have enjoyed listening to me complain... but i'm sorry to say that i wont be complaining for much longer... instead i will be celebrating being free from school!!! yipee!
